The Club of Greater Laughlin Kiwanis gas $1000.00 drawing at the American Legion July 8, 2008 Commander Mitch Roach and Kiwanis Don Edwards making drawing of winning ticket.

Penny Strictland from Laughlin Nevada is the winner of two gas awards from the Greater Laughlin Kiwanis Club. Drawing was held on July 8th 2008. She won two prizes, one for $50.00 and the $1000.00. main prize. Congratulation!.

Still Serving America For God and Country. James and Kathy McDaniel members of the Laughlin American Legion post 60 with President of the Laughlin Kiwanis Lynn Neufeld (center) expressing appreciation for all the support received and the wonderful food served during the Kiwanis meetings at the American Legion. The American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans, Legionnaires are encourage to continue their mission and reputation as a caretaker of America's future. The American Legion September 11th Memorial Scholarship was established by National the Executive Committee at its October 2001 meeting in honor of those who died in the attack on America. It will help the families of military personnel killed on active duty on or after September 11th, 2001 by providing college scholarships for their children.

"Kiwanian of the year" Award to Lynn Neufled for over 9 years of service to the Laughlin community. by Kiwanian President Howard Keliihoomalu. Kiwanis members are committed to providing to their clubs, communities, charitable programs. Young Children: Priority One is the ongoing service program of Kiwanis International, addressing the needs of young children.

Lynn Neufeld moved to Laughlin with her four children in 1995. She leads an active volunteer life, mostly behind the scenes. Her heart is focused on helping kids. Neufeld has been involved with the Colorado River Food Bank, Laughlin High School Booster Club and the Laughlin Rotary Club's Laughlin High School Inter-Act Club. She was a charter member of Kiwanis Club of Greater Laughlin and recently became an advisor to the LHS Key Club. She also has been instrumental in starting a Builders Club for junior high ages. Neufeld is in real estate in Nevada and Arizona.
